What I love about Choices FDC

The well-being of Educators like me is a top priority for Choices. Opportunities for professional growth is always available to us. A great example is regular workshops like the Phoenix Cup Class, On-line class on Sustainability- Small Green Steps, Get Grubby Program and more. All of these are available to us for free. There’s regular follow up through Zoom meetings, Facebook posts and emails. There are forthcoming workshops that I’m looking forward to attending with the Choices Team events such as FDCA national engagement and national conference.

Choices knows an educators mind. They give us all that we need to succeed, thrive & inspire. Many of the staff are ex FDC educators so they know what an educator experiences, and what we need. From amazing wellbeing conferences, sustainability programs, awards & recognition, educator resource kits etc - they have everything covered. They also leave us to do our jobs but are there if we need them or if we need a chat. I also love how we are given the opportunity to give input. Choices are a non-profit organisation and are a genuine team that care.

Choices team is always ahead in finding ways to improve and finding innovative approaches to ensure children Learn, Inspire, Thrive. Our families and children in care are well informed of all things about caring for children. The coordination unit makes sure that we are compliant and delivering the highest standard of care to the children. My coordinator and I work closely together. There’s an open communication and I can always get a hold of her in times of need. My approach and values in my family day care is being respected and appreciated. There’s always a good camaraderie, warm and supportive atmosphere between educators and the whole choices team.

Choices is a fantastic service to work for and everyone is so helpful and hands on whenever I needed help, have questions or there is a problem. I feel very lucky I am an Educator with Choices Family Day Care.

Natasha

Educator

As a parent, I attended quite a few Educators to see if they would be the right fit for my child. The Choices educator is the best by far! When I first visited the Educator, she actually got down on her son's level and included him in the visit and spoke with him. I am very happy and confident that I have chosen the right person for my son. We love our Educator who is very caring and a special person.

My Educator is wonderful and as for Choices, they are the most professional, organised, friendliest Family Day Care I have encountered, right from the Educators, Co-ords, Admin and Management. Choices has always proven to be the best FDC for my son.
